Why I made this Site |

In the beginning, there was my very first, wholly original homesite, called "Laura Seabrook's Very Own Home page". This was at Geocities at the time when one got 2mb of space to play around with (not so long ago, either).I kept adding more to it, and fitting in as much as I could within that 2mb. It was packed solid with stuff (about me of course), and it worked! I renamed it "Pollychrome's Place" (having a liking for illiteration). Then one day, the roof fell in. I found that for some reason I could not get into my homesite in Area 51. I did the next best thing. Since my record had somehow "slipped off" the system, I got another homesite somewhere else in Geocities. I picked The Oracle suburb of Athens, and I'm glad I did. I decided to break up my homesite into differently focused sites. That way, if any one site disappeared (they all rely on "free" providers) the others would be intact. You can see a list of the results on my net stuff page. I decided to make this one my Pagan site. And it has been ever since. So why have a pagan site at all? It's the nature of this world that if people don't read about you, or see you on television, or via some other medium, that they assume you don't exist. Well Pagans do exist, and so do transgendered ones at that. I'm one, and I know that my spirituality is worthwhile and meaningful to me. When you're transsexual it's easy to fall for the medical model of why, how and who you are. But a medical model only goes so far. It tells one how you can change physically, and maybe socially. But it doesn't help with the spiritual. I had to find my own pathway, and it was one I hadn't expected. This site is my attempt to help share this path. I hope it helps.
